OUR COUNTRY SHOW HISTORY

The Swaton Vintage Day was started in 1994 by a couple of local farmers as a way to showcase their ‘Pride and Joy’ Vintage Tractors and to raise a bit of money for local causes.

It has expanded over the years to become the world renowned extravaganza it now is.

Our country show now enjoys visitors and publicity from around the World.

The introduction of the World Egg Throwing Championships in 2006 saw a couple of New Zealanders become the First World Champions.

Over the years around £100,000 has been raised for local, national and International good causes including : Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, L I V E S, The British Red Cross, McMillan Cancer Support, ‘Go For Gold (Radio Lincs), Leukaemic Research, Coeliac Society, Cancer UK, ShelterBox, Children’s Hospices and local churches & community centre.

The country show is still run on a voluntary basis by a Committee of local residents and offers an excellent day out for the entire family. We are located within easy driving distance of Sleaford, Grantham, Lincoln, Peterborough, Newark and Boston.

Great News! Yes, We Are Coming Home!

Swaton Vintage Day & The World Egg Throwing Championships will return to Swaton for the 2026 event on Sunday, 28 June. We are incredibly excited to be bringing the event back to its roots and are pleased to host the show in Swaton once again.
